Smoothies are the number one drinks in my home – my kids love them! I love that they are made up of mostly healthy ingredients. It is a great way to get your children to eat right and enjoy good foods so that they develop healthy eating habits. You can even put green foods like a little fresh spinach in any smoothie any it won’t change the taste but it will add to the nutritional value. I’m serious! Try it for yourself!

All of the smoothies below have the same basic steps:

  1. Pulse the chunky stuff until it is pretty cut up.
  2. Puree the rest until smooth.
  3. Serve immediately.
  4. Servings: 2 large, 3 small.

Lemon Blueberry Smoothie Recipe

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt

Banana Oat Smoothie Recipe

  • 1 cup whole or 2% milk
  • 1 individual packet instant oatmeal; regular or original flavor
  • 1 cup of citrus juice;
  • 1 large banana; peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks

Berry Smoothie Recipe

  • 1 cup low fat strawberry yogurt
  • 1.5 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen) (strawberries, blueberries, etc)
  • 3 teaspoons frozen orange juice concentrate

Chocolate Banana Wonder Smoothie Recipe

  • 1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons chocolate syrup
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen milk cubes(about 4 cubes)

Lemon Pineapple Smoothie Recipe

  • 2 cups lemonade
  • 1 cup lemon yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup pineapple sherbet

  • 2 cups peach nectar (juice)

Raspberry Cream Smoothie Recipe

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup raspberry yogurt
  • 1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 1/2 frozen banana (chunks)
  • 1 1/2 cup frozen raspberries

Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie Recipe

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 3 peeled kiwi
  • 1 cup frozen banana slices
  • 3/4 cup frozen strawberries
  • Add sprig of mint on top of each glass.

Watermelon Smoothie Recipe

  • 3 cups 1/2-inch chunks of seedless watermelon
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 3 Tbsp. maple syrup
