iron-man3-familyThe whole month is full of high action adventure movies, even the animated one titled Epic, whose lead is a girl is about the war between good and evil. But hey, my family is not complaining. Take a look at what May has to offer your movie-going family and watch the trailers here.

Iron Man 3 is here for all of those Avengers fans. I want to say I can hear everyone’s sons screaming “yes!” but I know too many girls that are joining them. The movie is rated PG-13 for the scifi violence(and real people violence) that is found in these action movies. There is also some suggestive content. Synopsis: When Tony Stark’s world is torn apart by a formidable terrorist called the Mandarin, he starts an odyssey of rebuilding and retribution.

Epic looks to be a coming of age and a save the world story all wrapped up into one cool 3D CG action-adventure comedy. It’s rated PG for scary situations and violence. Synopsis: A teenager finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a rag-tag group characters in order to save their world — and ours.

Star Trek: Into the Darkness is going to be the most action packed Star Trek film ever. I cannot wait. It’s rated PG-13 for violence and sexual content. Synopsis: After the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.

After Earth has my favorite actor and his son playing a father and son, and the father is a very high ranking officer. Son trying to live up to his father’s standards. I think they have the perfect pair for this, right? Well, they certainly look very serious in this movie. It’s not a comedy, no Fresh Prince found here 🙂 Rated PG-13 for real looking violence and scary situations. Synopsis: A crash landing leaves Kitai Raige and his father Cypher stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help.
