Welcome to Successful Parenting

grandopening successful parenting
Announcing the official grand opening for Successful-Parenting.com on April 25, 2013! I am so very excited to get this site up and started so that we can share the vast resources of the Internet with the parenting community. Sixteen years ago, I started the Parenting Teens site at Miningco.com(now About.com) with a commitment to my site visitors: “Every child is as different as their fingerprints. I’m here to help you with the issues surrounding you and your teen(child). With your caring, my expertise, and the vast resources of the web, we have a winning combination.” I am renewing that commitment to you! Yes, we parents can be  successful at raising our children by using the skills and tools we have. So, come visit often and share your thoughts, advice and experiences in our comments sections – I’ve left them open for you.

What nice people have said about my newsletters: “I’ve been reading it[the newsletter] for the past ten years or so and always found it informative, interesting and helpful even though my kids are no longer teens. I always agree with the the advice you give parents who ask for your opinion. You really know your stuff.” ~ Venice Your newsletter was great. ~ TeenLife.com “…look forward to your articles in my mail box. They are very practical and simple. I enjoyed reading them. I thank you for sharing your knowledge…” ~ Heena My Promise to Our Site Visitors I believe in the power of the internet to enhance our lives as parents through education on the issues we face, connecting parents to organizations like American Psychological Association and connecting us to each other. I’ve believed in the benefits of the internet since 1997 when I wrote this on my Parenting Teens Bio, “With your caring, my expertise, and the vast resources of the web, we have a winning combination.” So, I promise to get ‘internet-active’ and bring you the best of the best, along with some parenting advice and tips, so that we can raise our children successfully.
